A great conversation starter, this painting of the "SS Northwestern" Steamship plowing throught the waves is sure to give you years of enjoyment. Built by the Northwest Steamship Company in 1889 in Chester, Pennsylvania, this vessel was originally named the ORIZABA. It holds the record for the most groundings of any ship that navigated the dangerous waters of Alaska. Her hulk now remains in Dutch Harbor Alaska where she finally went to her watery grave courtesy of Japanese bombers in WWII.
